As a member of Design for Community at the University of Michigan-Flint, my design studio was able to work with the Genesee Conservation District and the Genesee Earth Week Coalition for the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day. Various community partners planned a week of educational activities for Genesee County residents. The Design Studio collaborated with the community partners to design a logo and brand for this event. We took the audience of young people in mind, including elements like polaroid pictures, washi tape, Facebook profile templates, and buttons into the package. I was the lead designer for the poster for Earth Week, which operates as both a trifold and large poster. When expanded, the brochure is an 11x17 poster. The poster can be folded into a trifold, containing specific event details. This poster unfortunately could not be printed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the event was canceled.
